Medical Services App
Project overview
This is a mobile application for telemedicine, allowing the patient to make an appointment to see a doctor and undergo a remote medical examination. The application has the feature of video communication with the attending physician. Also, the patient can view the history of their visits and the dynamics of their health indicators, make an appointment in the in-app calendar, as well as receive notifications about upcoming appointments. Before starting the examination, each patient must provide their medical history, current symptoms, and pay for the visit.
On the doctors’ side, there is a web application that allows making necessary notes, creating and storing templates of documents and prescriptions, as well as sending them to patients. It also allows doctors to monitor the status and health of patients using automatically generated charts.
Client
European IT and business consulting company.
Industry
Medicine, eHealth, telemedicine.
Challenge
Our task was to develop a telemedicine solution that would enable the patient to visit a doctor without leaving home and waiting in queues which can be not only tiresome but also dangerous during the COVID-19 pandemic. As for any telemedicine solution, the main challenge was to provide maximum security.
Tech stack
To develop this app, we used the following tools:
- Javascript
- React
- React Native
- Redux
- react-hook-forms
- MobX
- React Select
- React Bootstrap
- Android Studio
- Xcode
Result
At the moment we have already implemented chart generation, patient tracking for a specific practice of the attending physician, sending invitations to new users, as well as sending various notifications and reminders to the user. Currently, our task is to enhance the interface, implement additional features, create APIs, and fix emerging bugs in both mobile and web applications.
