He is a winner of several international Olympiads and was thrice awarded prizes of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for social support of the gifted school and university students and became the youngest director of a resident company of High-Tech Park.
Maxim Osipov was born on August 2, 1985, in Minsk, where he spent his childhood.
“My parents bought me a computer when I was a second grader. As there were not many computer games then, I decided to develop software by myself and continued to buy new games whenever possible. As far as I remember, I was in the second grade then”.
Being still a primary school pupil, Maxim began searching for “partners” to engage in programming: “But I have not found anyone: all of my friends preferred to play football – of course, that was quite natural for the children of our age”.
In 1998 Maxim was the seventh in the final of the Republican Olympiad on Computer Science.
In 2000, being a tenth grader, Maxim won second place at the Republican Olympiad.
In 2002 Maxim became the silver prize-winner at the International Olympiad in Informatics 2002 in South Korea.
In 2003 he took part in the International Olympiad in Informatics held in Chicago, USA – this time he won a bronze medal.
In 2003 Maxim entered the Belarusian State University – without any exams: “I could be enrolled thrice without exams as a grant holder of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for social support of the gifted school and university students”, Maxim says smiling.
In 2004 Maxim took part in ACM ICPC, an international student competition, which was held in the Czech Republic, as a member of the team consisting of three people. It was an ultimate victory: guys won first place, becoming the first gold medalists of the Republic of Belarus at such competitions.
